Peterson Engineering - About Us
Peterson Engineering’s Sky Division was formed after Pete, a lifelong stargazer, purchased a 10” Meade LX200 in 1999, and needed improvements to satisfy his personal stargazing requirements.
Incorporated in 1992, Peterson Engineering initially designed and fabricated industrial robots. Having design and fabrication capability, the Sky Division was created in 2000 to make astro product available to friends throughout the stargazing community.
Peterson Engineering currently manufactures and sells a variety of stargazing related product- including upgrades for Meade’s large SCTs and mounts for binoculars and Seestar telescopes.
Pete teaches classes out of his Wishing Star Observatory, tracks asteroids for the Minor Planet Center, coordinates public outreach events and occasionally functions as a guest lecturer at local colleges and universities.
