Seestar S30 & S30 Pro EQ EZ Mount<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The S30\/S30 Pro EZ Mount is designed to take advantage of ZWO\u2019s equatorial mode while balancing the S30 over the ZWO supplied tripod with it\u2019s very small footprint.\u00a0 Setup of the equatorial EZ Mount is wonderfully quick and simple.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Lightweight and compact, the thick rigid 6061 aircraft aluminum alloy offset arm is custom formed to your latitude.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

ZWO software does not require ultra precise equatorial alignment.\u00a0 If the tripod is leveled the latitude-customized mount should be accurate to within a degree.\u00a0 Accurate azimuth adjustment is achieved simply by swiveling the mount at the point where it attaches to the tripod.\u00a0 A tripod leveling base is shown in some customer supplied images but if one leg of the tripod is oriented north or south it\u2019s easier to make fine declination adjustment by adjusting the leg angle or leg height.<\/p>

The S30 EZ Mount places the scope center of gravity over the tripod\u2019s center maximizing stability.\u00a0\u00a0No need for a massive tripod or a counterweight \u2013 Seestar\u2019s supplied tripod is balanced and works just as well.<\/p>

The EZ Mount positions the telescope lower\/closer to the tripod than a conventional telescope wedge, and the closer the scope is positioned to the the tripod head the less the leverage for wind induced vibration.<\/p>

Mounting the scope takes only seconds.\u00a0 \u00a0The mounting hardware is provided for tripods with both 3\/8-inch and 1\/4-inch mounting studs.\u00a0 No extra adapters or modifications are required.<\/p>

Why EQ?\u00a0 Equatorial mounting eliminates field rotation.\u00a0 Capture efficiency significantly increases.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Zenith objects are accessible.\u00a0 30-second exposures do not streak and result in a improved signal to noise ratio, gathering finer detail than 10-second exposures will on faint objects.<\/p>

Traveling?\u00a0 1\u00b0 latitude = 60 miles (97 km)\u00a0 Got a dark site 240 miles (386 km) north or south?\u00a0 Tilting the tripod out of level by 4\u00b0 compensates for your change in latitude, and is barely noticeable.\u00a0 ZWO\u2019s equatorial mode initiates with a red latitude setup procedure that takes the guesswork out of this tilt adjustment.\u00a0 EZ Mount is precisely formed for your home location but that doesn\u2019t mean that you can\u2019t travel.<\/p>
