This mount accommodates almost any size binocular from 7X50 to 25X100
The mounting arm is much longer than any parallelogram mount on the market. All known commercially available mounts have short mounting arms that require meshing the observing chair with tripod legs. And none are suitable for viewing from a recliner such as the popular zero-gravity chair.
The 5 axis design allows comfortable viewing from any position – seated, standing, or fully reclining. Minimal cost parallelogram mounts usually have a 4-axis design mandating that one view straight down the length of the parallelogram arm, and this severely inhibits viewing while seated.
It’s weatherproof and virtually indestructible, designed to be left outside for instant use. No setup or tear-down necessary. No need to spend time finding and setting up a tripod. And it takes no more than 10 seconds to mount or dismount your binocular.
There’s no need to purchase a separate and costly heavy duty tripod. And the EZ Binoc Mount compact legs are unobtrusive. Most tripod legs stick out quite a distance and interfere with getting a chair close enough for comfortable viewing.
Parallelogram mounts assist in keeping a binocular roughly oriented when raising or lowering height for sharing a view. But when passing a view onto someone else, lack of a parallelogram is actually no handicap as when using more than 10X both the EZ Binoc mount and the parallelogram require one to stoop or stand tall while holding on target for the next person anyway.
To minimize your cost, this binocular mount comes in kit form, requiring parts and assembly. While a pipe mount approach appears relatively simple, the 24-page photo illustrated instructions are based upon months of development and years of refinement. The resultant performance is unequaled.
Kit contains all parts that required machining, welding, drilling or thread tapping. Plus parts that were carefully chosen for this mount and are not commonly available elsewhere. Except for the modified pipe fittings all metal parts are stainless steel.
By purchasing pipe & fittings locally you minimizey shiping charges. Necessary pipe is universally available, and national outlets like Lowes, The Home Depot or Grainger have this material on the shelf. Total cost for required pipe & fittings runs about $80-$90.
For transport or storage, unscrew the 3 legs and the counterweight arm the mount becomes very compact – less than 4-feet by 1-foot by 1-foot and will fit almost anywhere.
At final assembly you configure the mount for either a horizontal screw mount typical of 7X50 and 15X70 binoculars or a vertical post type mount typical of larger binoculars such as the 20X80 and 25X100 . The kit contains all mounting screws and other hardware for mounting your binocular in either configuration. The assembly procedure is simple, and the detailed step by step instruction sheet is photo illustrated so that you can’t go wrong.
The original kit instructions run 24 photo illustrated pages, and a 3 page supplement has been added with alternatives and work-arounds for the kit material that is no longer available. There is far too much material here for posting online and regretfully we must charge for printing and shipping.
