Equatorial Wedge Balance Arm for Seestar

While our Equatorial EZ Wedge has some advantages over the traditional wedge, many astronomers are traditionalists. This balance arm centers and balances a wedge mounted telescope without the need for counterweights or tripod stabilizing balance weights that slow down setup and just add extra clutter to your setup.  Keep it simple.

The Balance Arm accommodates most popular wedges and will mount to tripods with both 3/8-inch and 1/4-inch mounting studs. 

Lightweight and compact, the thick 6061 aircraft aluminum alloy offset arm is rigid and inflexible.

An added and somewhat unrelated bonus – Dovetail plate mounting hardware (an 8mm locking hand knob and a 6mm safety stop screw) is provided to adapt the Seestar to some popular wedges including the one shown.  A friction pad has also been added as the seating of the telescope to the dovetail is slippery and will rotate even with minor disturbance.
